Obedience Training

We offer professional obedience training to help solve common behavioral problems like housebreaking, chewing, excessive barking, jumping, biting, not coming when called, digging, leash pulling, etc. Just like humans, all dogs are different. They have different levels of ability, different attention spans and learn at different speeds. That’s why we offer multiple programs to fit your dog. All of our training programs involve training the owner as well as the dog. We train both ends of the leash. That doesn’t mean you have to do all of the day to day hard work. But you will need to devote some time to learning what the dog has been taught. Otherwise, your dog will know more than you! But don’t worry. We have professional trainers that work with the dogs and with you. We all want a well-trained dog.
We offer several different levels of training:
● Puppy Kindergarten for puppies ages 7 – 16 weeks. This program includes early socialization, leash breaking, bonding with the owners and addresses all of the puppy behavioral problems like chewing, biting, digging, excessive barking, jumping and house breaking. ● Basic Obedience for dogs over 16 weeks: Your dog will learn heel (walk by your side), sit, sit-stay, down and come when called while on a leash. We will address all behavior problems: digging, leash pulling, excessive barking, biting, chewing, jumping while socializing your dog with other dogs and people.● Advanced Off-Leash for dogs and owners that have mastered basic commands. Advanced Off-Leash training includes all of the basic commands but without a leash. That is everyone’s goal! ● AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC): A set of 10 skills every dog should know to be a good member of the community. We have CGC Evaluators on staff who will help you and your dog achieve this designation.
All of our programs include a lecture series on dog psychology, veterinary care, grooming, nutrition and flea and tick control. The effort you put into training your dog now will last a lifetime. So, let’s get started today. You will be glad you did.
